Run to the Father
So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” [Luke 15:20 NIV]
This is your reminder to run to the Father.
He is the only one that can satisfy your weary soul and heal your broken heart.
We have all been the prodigal son at some point. We all have went our own way at one time or another, messed up, missed the mark. Totally failed, started coming undone, unraveling, breaking apart.
When we come to the end of ourselves, when we get so desperate, so thirsty but nothing satisfy our hunger.
We realized our desperate need for God, when we come to the end of ourselves, we come to our senses.
We come to the conclusion that we need a savior, that He is the only one that can satisfy our souls, Jesus is the only one that can truly satisfy our deepest desires and refresh our weary souls.
So if you have lost your way or maybe you are exhausted from the struggles in life.
Turn to the Father and he will run to you.
Start down the path to the Father and He will meet you with love.
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV]
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” [Romans 8:1 NIV]
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” [James 4:10 NIV]
