Jesus is sovereign

This is one of my favorite passages in scripture. Every time I read it I am just amazed, this verse reminds me of Jesus Christ power and greatness. He is Holy and worthy of all my praise!

He is just so good and absolutely wonderful!

I highly recommend taking your time reading this verse! It’s really awesome.

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—” [Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬-‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬]

Let’s recap a bit!

1. Jesus [the Son] is the image of the invisible God. [Col 1:15]

Jesus is the image of The Creator of the entire universe!  So the disciples literally saw the face of God. That is just so cool.

2. For in Him all things were created [Col 1:16]

Wow all things were created through Christ and for Christ!

3.He is before all things [Col 1:17]

Jesus is before all things! He has power over everything!  He has the final say!

4.In Him all things hold together [Col 1:17]

Jesus holds all things together! He has everything under control!

5.He is the head of the church, the beginning, and the first born among the dead. [Col 1:18]

Jesus has supremacy over everything! He is the King of kings!

6.God was pleased to have all his fullness to dwell in him. [Colossians 1:19]

The fullness of God dwells in Jesus!

John 10:30 “ I and the Father are one.”

7. Through Jesus all things were reconciled! [Col 1:20-22]

Through Jesus sacrifice on the cross all things were reconciled to God and for him [Christ]

We are washed white through the blood of Christ Jesus!

Jesus is Lord over all! He is King over the storm!

So when the storms of life come, remember that Jesus has victory over everything! And through Christ we have victory!!

Don’t focus on the storm focus on that Jesus is greater than the storm! He has the final say!
