Redemption
Redemption meaning- 1. the action of saving or being saved from sin, error or evil
2.The action of [regaining] or gaining possession of something in exchange for payment, or clearing a debt.
Do you know the redeemer? The one who canceled the payment of sin, which is death [ separation from God ]
God is Holy, perfect, sovereign and without blemish. He cannot be in the presence of sin.
What is sin? Sin is what you call bad things, you know murder, stealing, cheating, lying, ect…
Sin is what separates you from God.
Sin is what causes you to have that addiction, sin is what causes depression, anxiety, fear, intrusive thoughts, insecurity, and rage. All of these things are caused my sin.
There are a lot of bad things happening in this world. A lot of injustice things, but do you know there is actually a cure for sin.
You don’t have to keep struggling with that addiction or depression. Or perhaps you have done some things you wish you could just erase.
Some people who have hurt you, or choices that you regret making.
Or maybe you are just at rock bottom and you are so tired of fighting and trying so hard to just be enough. Feeling like a disappointment, broken and hurt. The weight of your past and all your mistakes are running you over and crushing you.
Redemption has a name His name is Jesus.
Jesus does not judge, He already knows what you have done. And yet he chases after you. He waits for you.
Jesus payed for it all
He redeemed you
On that cross He carried the weight of the whole world’s sin, He payed the price. He overcame the grave.
Sin lost its grip, you don’t have to stay there. You can be set free.
For He has rescued us and drawn us to [Himself] from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. In whom we have redemption [ because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins and the cancellation of sins’ penalty] [Colossians 1:13-14 AMP]
